Job Role: I rotated through clinical chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, reading manual differentials.. Performed manual dilutions on chemistries and manual verifications if outside linearity. I assisted with safe transfusions by conducting tests and completing blood counts. I located disease markers and outlined findings in thorough reports for clinicians. I worked with pathologist to isolate abnormalities and narrow down likely diagnosis. I analyzed bodily fluids with laboratory equipment and detected anomalies related to diseased states or acute injuries. I identfied microorganisms present in samples, cultivated strains to support clinical diagnostics and stored strains to I maintained strict aseptic fields when collecting biological samples, minimizing staff and patient infection risks. During the course of my training, I worked with Tuberculosis Reference Laboratory South west Zonal Region, with little or no supervision after training carried out analysis on biological samples brought into the Laboratory.
